Hillsboro Bowl was established by the Knisley’s in 1950. It was built as a 6 lane house and 2 additional lanes added in the 60’s as bowling was booming. A bar and game room/restaurant was also added around this time. In April of 2021 the Hapner family purchased the alley before poor health caused him to find another potential owner.
Keith and Robin heltsley have been looking for a business opportunity,, and formed Galaxy family entertainment LLC. Beginning on April 1st, 2023 full time hours are restored . On the heels of the restored bowling services, the kitchen will be thoroughly remodeled and a grand opening will be planned as soon as it is complete.
Why do we call ourselves Galaxy family entertainment? We have a plan to bring in more than just bowling. Be prepared for more family fun in the form of bounce houses and a kitchen menu with more options. Be sure to check out the Kitchen page as Robin develops her offerings.
